The New Revenant Norns I made are here!

My Revenant Norns are meant to be a new breed for Creatures 1,2, and 3. They start off as the normal Alba Norn in baby stage, then when they grow up to adolescent they grow Metal arms. During their youth they grow Sonic lances and their metal legs, and then during adult stage they outgrow the C2 Incubator, become fully robotic, and have to be moved to somewhere larger. They have become an Eldar Revenant Titan. These Norns have an improved genome, and this gives them the ability to breathe underwater. They also have a cob which makes them fly. All those interested may talk to me.

Thanks,
Mitchell.

CCSF 2007: Albian Essence Development Team Releases Paper Doll Norns

If any of you have been online since the beginning of the CCSF Celebration, you've probably noticed that the warp has been flooded with strange new white norns. The Docking Station Creatures Chat has been awash with speculation and questions about the new creatures. Everyone in the warp is wondering; "Just what are these new creatures?"

CCSF 2007

Well, the Creatures Community Spirit Festival is underway.

The website, which you can visit right here is ready to be stacked full of interesting downloads, features and interviews. There's already some information about various extensions of the community into social networking and blogging sites, with plenty more to come.

It should be an interesting couple of weeks - the CCSF is always home to some interesting content, and normally the odd surprise or two.

Pixartra - A new Chaos Website

Pixartra - A new art sharing web site (From Chaos Created)

Here we go again. Chaos is happy (overjoyed, in fact) to announce the launch of Pixartra which went live last night.

This is a cool little project that I've had on the go for a little while now, working with Bristol-based artist Anne King. It's a nifty little art social site for people to share their art, comment on other people's art and meet artists online.

We're in a 'beta' phase at the moment. Further down the line, we're hopefully going to introduce some more social features (private messaging, for example) but for now, it's all about the sharing!

So, if you have five minutes free and fancy doing me a favour, sign-up, log in, and upload some art - it doesn't have to be serious art (water colours, chalk and charcoal, etc.), it could be a cool photograph you've taken perhaps, or some digital art that you've created in Photoshop.

Anyway, give it a go!

http://www.pixartra.com

Creatures Tripple Released

It's the first bit of official news in a while but Europe has recently seen the release of Creatures Collection: Triple (PC). This PC release includes Creatures 1, Creatures 2, Creatures 3, Docking Station, Creatures Adventures and Creatures Playground together in one box for the first time, and at the amazing price of less than £8.

Sadly, this seems like one last chance to milk the last drops from the Creatures series. Why on earth a publisher would consider the gamers of Creatures 1/2/3 to be of the same audience group as Creatures Village is beyond me. Can a four year old who might play Creatures Village cope with the gameplay mechanics (and, heck, even the ethics of sex and death) contained within the Creatures series (which has always been about the AI and the advances in technology as much as it was about gameplay) - I doubt it very much.

The only reason why this release is good is to save some shelf space for die hard Creatures fans. I doubt very much that this will increase interest in Creatures, which is a shame. So, yes, I'll order my copy, if only for old times sake.

Ali

Update/Viva Pinata!

And still things are pretty quiet on the Creatures front!

In the meantime, the game Viva Pinata is out on the Xbox 360 and I've been busy working on the Viva Pinata World website.

So, if you fancy popping over and saying Hi, then it would be great to see you.

No doubt I'll be back with some Creatures content at some point in the New Year - might get round to some xmas agents if I'm lucky too.

Albia 2000 Update!

Sorry for the lack of updates over the last couple of months, especially during the CCSF. I've been keeping track of it and it's been amazing. Albia 2000 will have something to announce later this month with regards to a certain project!

Anyway, the lack of updates can be blamed on S'kali. For those unaware, it is the first feature film that I have edited on, and it gets its world premiere tonight in Malaysia, before a general release next week.

I've been blogging on this at: http://alimaggs.spaces.live.com/

So go take a look!

Anyway, normal service will resume shortly, but in the meantime, keep enjoying the CCSF!
